Kalmat is a sandy beach in Pasni, Gwadar.

Kalmat is a lagoon, which is a shallow body of water separated from the larger body of water, located 350 km west of Karachi near the Makran Coastal Highway. It is a small town of Pasni, Gwadar, where people are dependent on fishing activities.

Here are some of the glimpses of the Kalmat beach which is one of the most pristine beaches of Makran Coast.

Kalmat is known for its prawns which are sent to Karachi and exported to international fish market.

There are a few huts at the beach but the town faces a crisis of potable water like rest of Gwadar.

The local community is dependent on fishing in Kalmat.

Kalmat has its share of small clumps of mangroves.
