Gwadar International Airport runway will remain closed for the whole month of July, according to the notification issued by the Civil Aviation Authority(CAA).
The decision has been taken for extension work on the runway of the airport, the notification said.
Flight operation will be completely suspended during the extension work on the runway from July 1 to July 30 2017.
CAA added that no decision has been taken yet regarding alternative airport use saying Pasni and Turbat airports could be considered as alternate options.
After the completion of the extension work on the runway, the airport will become capable of accepting the largest passenger planes.
