PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak has decided to hand over all the government-owned rest houses in Galiyat to private sector.

The chief minister said this while chairing a meeting of board of directors of Galiyat Development Authority. He said handing over of government rest houses to private sector will increase income of the provincial government and will also provide facility of rest houses to people on cheaper rates.

Mr Khattak also expressed concern over reports of inappropriate bahaviour of the rest houses staff with the guests. He ordered necessary training for the staff and also ordered some transfers. He directed that work on new township on 2,000 kanals land in Dana Thara area of Baragali should be expedited and planning should be made for construction of commercial and residential houses in the area.

The chief minister said all facilities will be provided in the picturesque Galiyat valley to promote tourism.
